Labor Day Weather: Weekend To Start Sunny In MD, But Showers May Roll In
Labor Day weekend should start with plenty of sunshine in Maryland, but the clouds may roll in before your cookout. Here's the forecast.

MARYLAND — Marylanders are gearing up for Labor Day and wondering if the weather will cooperate with their cookouts and beach trips.
The highs in central Maryland will stay in the upper 80s all weekend, but the rain may not hold out. The front half of the long weekend seems more promising. The back half may rain on your parade. The clouds could roll in by Sunday and pester the state with sporadic showers through Wednesday.
The weather may be slightly brighter in Ocean City. Highs will remain in the low 80s all weekend, and there are fewer chances for rain. The beach may still see some precipitation on Monday and Tuesday.

Hurricane Season In Maryland
This weekend's system may bring some thunderstorms, but Marylanders won't have to worry about any hurricanes.

AccuWeather reported that there is currently a budding tropical disturbance, called Invest 91L, approaching the Caribbean islands. The system could develop into a tropical depression or storm in the coming days, but the unnamed cluster is not yet a threat to Maryland.
AccuWeather forecasted that the system will pass northeast of the southeastern Caribbean islands later this week, travel northeast of the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico this weekend and continue past the Bahamas early next week.
Alex Sosnowski, a senior meteorologist for AccuWeather, predicted that the system will then continue out to sea and dodge the American coast. It is too soon to rule out potential landfall sometime next week in the U.S., however.
This is the most action that the Atlantic basin has seen in two months. The system will be named Danielle if it upgrades to a tropical storm. Danielle would be the Atlantic's fourth named storm of the season, and she would be the first since July 2.
