Midshipman Dies While On Leave From Naval Academy: College
A midshipman died while they were on leave from the Naval Academy, the college said. The cause of death is under investigation.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — A midshipman died early Tuesday morning while they were on leave from the U.S. Naval Academy, the college announced. The cause of death is still under investigation.
Out of respect, administrators are withholding the midshipman's name for 24 hours after they notify the family.
The Naval Academy told the Brigade of Midshipmen, faculty and staff about the death.

"The Naval Academy is supporting the midshipman’s family, friends, and loved ones during this time of grief," the college said in a press release. "Counseling services and support are available to midshipmen, faculty, and staff through chains of command, our chaplains, and the Midshipmen Development Center."
