Murder Attempted In Annapolis, Police Catch Suspect: Report

A man was hospitalized after an Annapolis shooting, police said. Officers found and arrested the suspect, a report added.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — Police said a man was hospitalized after a Tuesday evening shooting in Annapolis. Officers noted that they found and arrested the suspect.

An incident report indicated that the shooting happened in the unit block of Newtowne Drive around 7:03 p.m. The victim was already on the way to an unnamed hospital when authorities arrived, the write-up advised. Officers expect him to survive.

Police identified the suspect as 18-year-old Kamal Davis of Annapolis. Officers charged him with attempted first-degree murder and other related crimes, the press release noted.
