Anne Arundel County Police have charged a Grasonville woman with murder for the stabbing of a Glen Burnie woman.

GLEN BURNIE, MD — A Grasonville, Maryland, woman is in jail on a murder charge, accused of fatally stabbing Ikea Nicole Jackson, 28, from Glen Burnie during a fight Monday. Detectives were back in the Glen Burnie neighborhood Tuesday handing out fliers as they look for a suspect, and say witness information led them to arrest Tashaya Raeshon Turner, 37, for Jackson's murder.
Anne Arundel County Police say the deadly fight happened before 2 p.m. Monday at an apartment building in the 100 block of Mountain Road in Glen Burnie. When officers arrived, they found Jackson lying outside the apartment building suffering from stab wounds.
Anne Arundel County Fire Department medics took the victim to Baltimore-Washington Medical Center, where she died from her injuries.

Detectives responded to the scene to investigate Jackson’s death as an apparent homicide. Her body was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to determine the exact cause and manner of death.
Investigators searched the area and interviewed witnesses as they tried to piece together the chain of events that led to Jackson’s death and determine a motive for the fatal assault. The stabbing was a targeted attack and not a random crime, police said Thursday.
