Murder Charges Filed in Shooting of Annapolis Man At His Home
Police have charged a 19-year-old man in the fatal shooting of Terry Crouse outside his home on Kimberwicke Place in Annapolis.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — Authorities have charged an Annapolis man with the Jan. 2 murder of a man who was shot outside his residence. Calum Jeramiah Thomas, 19, from the 10th block of Washington Drive in Annapolis, was arrested Monday night by Anne Arundel County Police and charged in the fatal shooting of Terry Paul Crouse, 55, from the 1800 block of Kimberwicke Place in Annapolis.
Detectives have charged Thomas with first-degree murder, second-degree murder, first-degree assault, second-degree assault, handgun on a person, firearm use in a crime of violence, regulated firearm illegal possession and illegal possession of ammunition. He was located about 8 p.m. in the 700 block of Bestgate Road in Annapolis, and taken into custody without incident, police say.
Investigators say Crouse's shooting was not a random act of violence, but police have not disclosed what the motive might be for the shooting.

Anne Arundel County Police officers administered cardiopulmonary resuscitation to Crouse until fire department personnel took over lifesaving procedures. But, Crouse was pronounced dead at the scene. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore ruled Crouse’s cause of death as “gunshot wound(s) with the manner being homicide.”
