National Beer Day: The Best Beer Joints In Annapolis
In honor of National Beer Day, here are some of the top bars and taverns for beer in Annapolis, according to Yelp.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — Whether you're in search of a place that had not only good beer, but a welcoming atmosphere on a dreary winter night or a sunny summer day, the Annapolis-area has some spots that come awfully close.
Whether you like ale, lager, a porter, or some other type of beer, we can all agree atmosphere, vibe and other intangibles contribute to the values of a nice beer spot. With that in mind, Annapolis has had a beer renaissance as of late, with several establishments touting their wares not as "bars" or "taverns" but as "breweries."
In honor of National Beer Day, here are some area joints where you can indulge in some good beer and cheer:

Middleton Tavern: 2 Market Space, Annapolis. A Yelper says, "Been there a few times since 2009. The best? Oyster Shooters and drinks at the bar! The worst? Dinner. Crazy overpriced, mediocre service, and middle of the road food quality."
Rams Head Tavern: 33 West St., Annapolis. Commenter wrote, "I really, really love Rams Head Tavern. I've spend way too many Sundays here. Came for brunch, stayed till dinner. Sundays are the best. Jazz brunch, bloody mary bar."

Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant: 1906 Towne Centre Blvd., Annapolis. Commenter: "Although this is a chain restaurant, it is the best brewery-styled place in Annapolis. I should also be up-front about the fact that I'm not a beer drinker."
Chesapeake Brewing: 114 West St., Annapolis. Review: "Lager? Check, tons of USNA memorabilia on the walls? CHECK. I'm hoping for the best with this place and perhaps with a bit more steam they can do better, but it's just not there yet."
DuClaw Brewing Company: 7000 Arundel Mills Circle, Hanover. Yelper, "So this was the first micro brewery that I have ever been to. After tasting breweries across the country, Du claws is not the best, but its still pretty good.
Rams Head Roadhouse: 1773 Generals Hwy., Annapolis. Patron wrote, "Really, there isn't much "roadhouse" about this place... which is alright by me! The Roadhouse brings what you expect from the Ram's Head group -- good food, great beer."
Federal House: 22 Market Space, Annapolis. Yelper: "Stopped in for a light lunch/ drinks. It's a neat little bar with a good sized craft beer selection along with good food. Their cream of crab soup was one of the best I've had."
1747 Pub: 7 Church Circle, Annapolis. "and never feel like you need to leave! The gin gin mule from the blonde bartender is the best!"
Davis’ Pub: 400 Chester Ave., Annapolis. Customer said, "is probably the best in town. Crab pretzel is one of the best appetizers in Annapolis. Could expand their draft beer selection but what they have on tap is quality craft brews."
