National Best Friends Day: Bosom Buddies Celebration!

Gather your girls and get ready for a good time! That's the message from a local lingerie boutique as National Best Friends' Day approaches Wednesday, June 8. À la mode intimates in the Annapolis Towne Centre offers private bra fit parties, a unique and wildly popular girls' night out event, highlighting fun and breast health.

The elegantly appointed Bra Salon at à la mode with accommodating couches and comfortable chairs is the perfect venue for groups of 5 to 12 women to relax and enjoy an evening. As guests socialize and sample light bites and beverages, a staff of professionally certified fitters works with each participant in the privacy of spacious, curtained dressing rooms.

“Women regularly neglect being properly measured and fitted,” said Patti Platt of à la mode. “A Bra Fit party with best friends in a carefully crafted atmosphere where women feel comfortable is a perfect way to do something good for themselves while having great fun.”

Eight out of ten women are wearing a poorly fitted bra which can cause chest weight to be transferred to the neck and shoulders, leading to neck and back pain, poor posture and breathing difficulties.

À la mode (1910 Towne Centre Blvd, Annapolis) offers a wide range of bra sizes, from A to K cup and band sizes from 28 to 44, as well as sports and nursing bras.

Bra Fit parties at á la mode can be scheduled Sundays through Fridays from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. The hostess will receive a gift card with 10% of the net sales after the event.
