'Ninja' With Shotgun Broke Into Annapolis Home: Police
The victim's dog started growling, so she looked around her home. She found a "ninja" with a shotgun hiding in a closet.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — An Annapolis woman had quite a scare soon after midnight on Monday, as she found an armed intruder in her home near the Maryland State House, according to reports. When police arrived, the intruder was nowhere to be found, in line with the woman's description of the man: like a ninja.
Sgt. Amy Miguez of the Annapolis Police Department said the victim described the suspect as a black man, six-foot-one to six-foot-five and of medium build. He was wearing "a neon green and black neckator around his neck, black spandex shirt, black pants, green and black tennis shoes, but she described him as looking like a ninja," Miguez said, according to WMAR.
The victim said she may have left the door unlocked while walking her dog. She got home from the walk, but four hours later, her dog growled, alerting the victim of potential trouble.

"People tend to snicker, because it's not usual that there's a ninja burglar, but we're treating it very seriously, because obviously this woman was extremely frightened,” Miguez said, according to WMAR.
Annapolis Alderwoman Tierney issued a warning after the break-in, the Capital Gazette reports.
“As soon as she saw the man, she turned and fled. She felt like he ran after her, but she was able to get into an apartment, a neighbor's place, and call police and we got out there as soon as we could."
The victim told police she'd lost a set of keys recently, and had noticed her things in the wrong place, suggesting the man may have been there before.
