Officer Accused Of Assault, Police Powers Suspended In Anne Arundel County: Officials

An Anne Arundel County police officer was accused of assault, a report said. His powers were suspended. He's working on administrative duty.

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — An Anne Arundel County officer recently had his police powers suspended after he was accused of assault, officials said.

Authorities identified the accused man as Officer T. Thomas. He has worked for two years in the Community Services Bureau of the Anne Arundel County Police Department.

The agency announced the news Friday. Police said they on Thursday heard about an out-of-county incident involving Thomas.

A news release said the Baltimore Police Department responded to an address in their jurisdiction, resulting in a criminal summons for second-degree assault being issued for Thomas.

The accused officer is working in an administrative role with pay.
