Officer Hospitalized After Woman Kicks, Bites Annapolis Authorities: Police

An Annapolis police officer was hospitalized after they were kicked and bitten by an assault suspect, authorities said.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — An Annapolis police officer went to an unnamed hospital Sunday after a suspect kicked and bit them, a press release announced.

Authorities responded to the 1100 block of Frederick Douglass Street to handle an assault. Officers said they arrested the accused woman and drove her to the Annapolis Police Department for processing. An incident report alleged that the suspect became combative and assaulted multiple officers during the car ride.

Authorities eventually took the woman to an Anne Arundel County detention center. Police did not identify the arrestee.
