One Maryland Eatery Among 'Top 100 Most Romantic Restaurants In America'

ANNAPOLIS, MD — Need just the right spot to make your Valentine's Day a treat for your sweetheart? One Maryland restaurant made OpenTable's "100 Most Romantic Restaurants in America," and it's located in Annapolis.

The rankings "reflect the combined opinions of more than 10 million restaurant reviews submitted by verified OpenTable diners for more than 24,000 restaurants in all 50 states," according to OpenTable, so if you're looking to wow your significant other, here is an option to consider.

For the second year in a row, The Chop House at Annapolis Towne Center has received the designation.

The eatery's OpenTable listing describes the restaurant this way: "Prepare to be pampered. The Chop House serves USDA Prime Beef, of all the beef produced in the US, less than 2% is certified as USDA Prime & it is our specialty. Generous portions of the finest Midwestern grain fed meats, Fresh Fish & Classic American Chop House side dishes are all part of the menu."

Happy hour runs daily from 5 to 7 p.m. with $5 martinis and $6 wines by the glass. The restaurant also has an extensive selection of mini plates to choose from.

Highlighting winners in cities both large and small, the complete OpenTable list features restaurants in 36 states. American and French cuisines dominate, and Italian, steakhouse fare and fondue are also popular.

The list of the 100 Most Romantic Restaurants in America is generated solely from verified OpenTable diner reviews collected between Dec. 1, 2015, and Nov. 30, 2016. All restaurants with a minimum "overall" score and number of qualifying reviews were included for consideration. Qualifying restaurants were then scored and sorted according to the percentage of reviews for which "romantic" was selected as a special feature.
