Part of Annapolis Mall Evacuated; All Clear Given
Police investigated a suspicious package at the mall.

Authorities have given the all clear sign after they evacuated parts of Annapolis Mall because of a suspicious package.
The Anne Arundel County Police Department says on its Facebook page: “We’re continuing to work w/ #AACoFD to clear the situation. Operating out of an abundance of caution.”
Megan Theune, who said on Facebook that she is at the mall, posted on Facebook: “Just heard a loud bang 5 mins ago.”

Police replied that the loud bang was pressure through water to open the device.
“It was a good intent call, no contraband,” police said online.

About 10 minutes ago police said all parts of the mall are again open.
