Patricia “Pat” Strieter, 82, a resident of Annapolis, died of natural causes on Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2016, at the Anne Arundel Medical Center. She was born in Washington, D.C. to the late Ray and Clara Hurley (nee Easterday).
Pat graduated from Bladensburg High School. She retired from a career of 21 years as an Office Supervisor at Metropolitan Life. She continued to work as an office manager at the Naval Academy Officers’ Club, from 1984 to 1998. While there, she received a Meritorious Service Award from the Midshipmen, faculty and staff.

She loved Annapolis and had a good life here and in Vero Beach, FL, enjoying the water, boating, traveling and good cuisine. While she was always on the go, and enjoyed an active lifestyle, she also spent countless hours caring for others.
Pat is survived by her son, Robert P. Strieter and daughter-in-law, Jo L. Longnecker, of Williamsburg, VA, a grandson, Ryan T. Strieter of Henrico, VA, and two sisters, Linda R. Constantine of Olney, and Carol S. Manga of Salt Lake City, Utah.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Douglas Hurley and her long-time companion, Louis O. Cimaglia who passed away on October 26, 2015.
Friends are invited to a viewing at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2016, followed by a Celebration of Life beginning at 11 a.m. at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road in Edgewater.
A graveside service will immediately follow the funeral service at Lakemont Memorial Gardens, Davidsonville, MD.
