Paving the way to tradition: Queenstown Premium Outlets celebrates Lunar New Year with first-ever Dragon Dance

Queenstown Premium Outlets celebrated its first Lunar New Year on Saturday, January 28. Shoppers near and far took part in an afternoon of cultural delight, complete with an engaging and authentic Dragon Dance demonstrated by local students.

“Our Lunar New Year event exceeded all of our expectations,” said Susan Humphries, director of marketing and business development at Queenstown Premium Outlets. “This is a special holiday for many of our shoppers, and we’re proud to help celebrate this cultural highlight. It was Queenstown Premium Outlets’ first Lunar New Year event with a live Dragon Dance – truly remarkable!”

Guests of all ages were captivated by the vibrant, traditional show performed by area students, Aby Sheng, Abdul Ayub, Anick Chapricka, Cayne Wong, Raymond Wong and Tu Trang. In addition to the colorful dancing, shoppers stocked up on seasonal styles utilizing a variety of in-store offers by popular retailers, including Michael Kors and St. John. Authentic food samplings were also provided by Michelle Misok Won.
