Weather Forces Anne Arundel Schools To Change Jan 8 Schedule
Weather has prompted Anne Arundel County Public Schools to change its schedule for Monday, Jan. 8.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — With the area under a winter weather advisory late Monday afternoon, all Anne Arundel County Public Schools will close three hours early Monday, Jan. 8, officials said. There will be no afternoon half-day sessions of pre-kindergarten or ECI classes.
In addition, all school-sponsored after-school activities scheduled for Monday, including evening middle school and high school classes, are canceled. For the status of activities sponsored by agencies other than Anne Arundel County Public Schools, including after-school day care, check with that agency.

The morning started with a hitch. While all schools opened as normal on Monday, weather-related issues at Anne Arundel County Public Schools headquarters, 2644 Riva Road in Annapolis, knocked out telephone, email, and internet service at that facility.
"We apologize for any inconvenience, and are working diligently to restore these services," the school system said on Twitter.
