Ocean City Sunset + Chesapeake Bay Worker + Firefighters In Action: MD Photos Of Week
This week's top pictures capture an Ocean City sunset, a Chesapeake Bay worker and firefighters in action. Here are the state's best photos.

MARYLAND — Marylanders shared dozens of photos this week. The impressive shots captured the beauty of mother nature and the human spirit. These were some of our favorites.
Carol Frase submitted this first picture of her husband, Craig, who works in marine construction on the Chesapeake Bay. Frase snapped the photo on Kent Island early in the morning of Tuesday, April 19.

William Corbin took the next picture of Water Witch Fire Company Station 72 in Cecil County. The photo shows Rescue Engine 72 (right) responding and Tanker 72 (left) preparing to respond to a call on Monday, April 18.

Tony Sweet scored this snapshot of an old barn in Sykesville.

Rodney Charitable sent in this 2018 picture of several members of the Rockville Haitian Seventh-day Adventist Church. The members are holding a signing praying for Carson Wentz, who was an injured quarterback on the Philadelphia Eagles at the time.

Wentz, a devout Christian and the new quarterback of the Washington Commanders, has a charity called the AO1 Foundation. Through his nonprofit, Wentz visited Haiti on a 2017 mission trip.
The A01 Foundation has since helped build a sports complex in Haiti and donated $250,000 to the victims of last August's 7.2-magnitude earthquake in the impoverished country.
Given Wentz's generosity to Haiti, the Montgomery County Haitian church prayed for Wentz ahead of the Super Bowl LII. Wentz missed the playoffs with an injury, but the Eagles still beat the New England Patriots 41-33 to win their first Lombardi Trophy.
"Needless to say, we are so delighted that Carson is coming to our Maryland area team," Charitable told Patch in an email. "We are hoping he sees this photo on your website and comes to visit our service before the season gets going."
Paula Arciprete-Lancaster completed this week's round-up with a picture of a sunset over Assawoman Bay in Ocean City.
That's all for this week's round-up. Keep an eye out for next week's gallery.
