MARYLAND — Marylanders sent Patch some beautiful pictures this week, so let's get to it! Here are the top photos of the week.

Joseph P Brooks submitted the first shot of a furry friend chowing down on a snack.

"This groundhog in Fort Armistead Park didn't see its shadow but did see the carrot someone left behind," Brooks told Patch in an email.

Marie Friedland shared this final shot of the Washington D.C. Temple. The Mormon holy site is usually closed to residents from other religions, but the temple is currently hosting its first open house in decades. Marylanders can visit the Kensington landmark until June 11.
