Police Continue Search for Man in Connection with Robbery

Nearly one year after , Annapolis City police urge anyone with any information about Jesse James Elder and his whereabouts to please come forward.

According to an Annapolis Police Department (APD) press release, Elder has still not been found. His last known address is Annapolis, but police believe he could be staying in Baltimore City, according to the release. Police also believe that he has ties to Florida.

As Patch reported last January, the employee was heading to deposit money from the gas station at the Capital One Bank on South Cherry Grove Avenue the afternoon of Dec. 23 .

As he got to the bank, a car stopped and two men wearing dark clothes got out of the car and demanded the bag of money from the employee. As noted in the release, the victim dropped the money and tried to run into the bank when one of the men put his hand in his coat and implied that he was armed with a weapon. The men got in a car and drove away. A third person in the car was the driver, police said.

Police identified Elder as the owner of the car, according to the release.

Police said Elder is 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighs about 230 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He is 36 years old.

Detective Amy Miguez, an APD spokeswoman, said the other suspects have not been identified at this time.
