Police Explore Ties Between Year's First Homicide and Earlier Shootings
A man killed in Glen Burnie is the third person shot, and second killed, within one block of the Freetown Community, authorities say.

The death of a Pasadena man whose body was found Tuesday morning inside a Glen Burnie home is the first homicide of the year in Anne Arundel County, say police.
Anne Arundel County Police homicide detectives were called to the 7800 block of Coutros Court in Glen Burnie. Officers found a dead man who had suffered apparent upper body trauma. The victim was identified as Breon “Breezy” Emerson Cager, 27 of Pasadena.

On Wednesday, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore will perform an autopsy and determine the exact cause and manner of death.
Anne Arundel County Police are also still seeking information in the Nov. 14 shooting death of Janvante Jaquan Parker and the Sept. 29 shooting and attempted murder of Ernest Green Jr. These shootings, along with Breon Cager, all occurred within a one-block radius of the Freetown Community and investigators are not ruling out the possibility that the cases are related.
