Poll: What are Your Thoughts on Speed Cameras near School Zones?

Legislation passed Monday night by the Annapolis City Council will allow for the use of speed cameras near certain designated school zones.

The Annapolis City Council voted unanimously Monday night to approve legislation that will allow for speed cameras in certain designated school zones.

Council members also passed legislation establishing a fine "not to exceed $40," as noted in the legislation.

The Capital spoke with Alderman Fred Paone (R-2nd Ward) who has been critical of the legislation in past meetings, but voted in favor of it.
