Polls Give Clinton, Trump Lead in Maryland Presidential Races
Pollsters say former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has a commanding lead over Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders ahead of April 26 primary.

COLLEGE PARK, MD —Democrat Hillary Clinton holds a commanding lead over Bernie Sanders in the Maryland presidential primary race, according to an average of three recent polls, the last of which was released on April 12.
The average of the three polls shows Clinton has a lead of at least 14 percentage points over Sanders, when factoring in the average margin of error of +/- 4.63 percentage points, and it could be as large as 32.5 percentage points.

The three polls were published by NBC4/Marist, The Washington Post/University of Maryland and Baltimore Sun/University of Baltimore. The average, not accounting for margin of error, in the three polls was 58 percent for Clinton and 34.7 percent for Sanders.
Voters can cast their ballots ahead of Maryland’s primary election starting today.

The state’s primary will be held April 26; polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. that day.
Early voting in Maryland begins Thursday, April 14, and runs through Thursday, April 21. Polling places are open from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. those days.
Races from presidential contests to the state legislature will be on ballots across Maryland.
Republican Donald Trump leads John Kasich and Ted Cruz, according to an average of the four most recent Maryland presidential primary polls, the last of which was released on April 13, 2016.
The average of the four polls shows Trump has a lead of at least four percentage points over both Kasich and Cruz, even after factoring in the average margin of error of +/- 5.8 percentage points. His lead over Kasich could be as large as 27.2 percentage points or as small as 4.2 percentage points. His lead over Cruz could be as large as 28.6 percentage points or as small as 5.4 percentage points.
The polls were published by Monmouth, NBC4/Marist, Washington Post/ University of Maryland, Baltimore Sun/ University of Baltimore. The average, not accounting for margin of error, in the four polls was 40.8 percent for Trump, 25 percent for Kasich and 23.8 percent for Cruz.
