The King is the most important piece.

The Queen is the most powerful piece.
The King should, in most cases, observe the battle.
When the time is right, his Majesty enters, and adds support to the troops that went before to prepare his arrival.
The Queen adds tremendous power to well positioned minor officers (Bishops, Knights, Pawns), and the other major officer, the Rook.
You may capture the Queen.
You may not capture, or even place the King in danger!
