Pre-Teen Driver Charged After Taking Car for Joy Ride: Police
A 12-year-old boy allegedly behind the wheel of a stolen car Monday had his fun cut short by Annapolis Police.

The sight of a 12-year-old boy driving a car Monday night near Great Bay Avenue and Atwater Drive prompted a call to Annapolis Police.
When officers caught up with the young driver, he was arrested for driving without a license.
A 14-year-old boy who was a passenger in the vehicle was not arrested.

Officers could not locate the vehicle owner at that time, but two hours later received a call of a vehicle stolen from the 1800 block of Copeland Street. The owner told police she parked the vehicle and left it unlocked with the key inside the glove compartment.
Police say the two juveniles will be cited for motor vehicle theft.
