Resident Ties Suspected Package Thief to Railing: Police
An Annapolis man used his belt to tie up a man he saw stealing his roommate's delivery, say police.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — While package thefts continue in Annapolis, one resident fought back by hog-tying a suspected thief with a belt.
Annapolis Police say the resident reported Tuesday afternoon that he was walking into his apartment building when he saw an adult male suspect leaving the building with the contents of a newly delivered package. The resident recognized the items were clothing his roommate had ordered.
When the resident tried to talk to the suspect, he ran away. Police say the resident caught up to the suspect and detained him by securing his hands with a belt and attaching the belt to a railing.
