Restaurants Offer Freebies, Deals For Halloween 2017

See which Maryland restaurants are giving away treats for free, many of the deals are under way ahead of Halloween 2017.

While Halloween is all about free candy for the kiddies — OK, we have to sample it too — but various eateries are also offering free or discounted goodies on Tuesday to celebrate the holiday. Many of the specials are already under way. Here are some of the deals highlighted courtesy of the website Offers.com.

The website surveyed more than 1,000 U.S. consumers to understand how much they spend on the holiday and on what items. Results show that the average consumer will spend over $75 total on Halloween candy, costumes and other essentials.

Most consumers will spend Tuesday night passing out candy or trick-or-treating, that accounts for 35 percent of those surveyed. However, respondent are split on the rest of their activities as decorating and carving pumpkins are both tied for 17 percent, and partying and dressing up are tied for 12 percent. The last 7 percent will celebrate the scary holiday with a visit to a haunted house.
