Robert Wayne "Bob" Lowe, 77, Annapolis

Robert Wayne “Bob” Lowe, 77, an 11-year resident of Annapolis and previously of Severna Park, died April 12 at University of Maryland Medical Center after a two-year illness with heart disease.

Born in Dayton, KY on October 18, 1937, Bob attended Purdue University for one year. He then transferred into the US Naval Academy and was a graduate of the Class of 1960. He achieved the rank of LCDR and earned the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. After being honorably discharged from the Navy, he worked in various management positions for Baltimore Gas and Electric from 1969-1999. Bob’s hobbies included golf and fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Angela Lowe, whom he married July 26, 2003; his son, Greg (Jennifer) Lowe of Gambrills; and his granddaughters, Analisa Lowe (age 14) and Alayna Lowe (age 11).

A memorial gathering will be held on Monday, April 20, from 2-4 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 4, at Hardesty Funeral Home, P.A., 12 Ridgely Avenue, Annapolis.
