Barbecue kings who need last-minute stockups on hot dogs, potato salad fixings, Old Bay, beer and more can get what they need at most Maryland grocery stores on Tuesday, July 4. Most food stores in the region — Giant, Harris Teeter, Wegmans and Safeway — are open on the holiday, but check on individual stores for their hours.

Driving to the grocery store and finding it's closed for the holiday can be frustrating. To help you know your go-to stores this upcoming holiday, we have open hours for stores and a closure, plus links to their websites.

Here’s a list of Fourth of July hours for Maryland grocery chains, taken from their websites. Some stores may vary:

  • Giant Foods: Hours: 6 a.m.-midnight.
  • Harris Teeter: Most Harris Teeter locations will operate their regular, posted hours.
  • Wegmans: Stores will be open regular operating hours, from 6 a.m. to midnight.
  • Safeway: Maryland stores will operate regular hours; some are open 24 hours a day, some are open from 5 a.m. to midnight daily.
  • Whole Foods: Hours: 7 am-10 pm
  • Weis Markets: All stores will be open regular hours, which are 6 a.m. to midnight for most stores.
  • Green Valley Marketplace: Maryland stores will be open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Food Lion: Maryland stores will be open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. or 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. (depending on the store).
  • ShopRite Supermarkets: Maryland stores will be open 6 am - 10 pm
  • Trader Joes: All stores close at 5 p.m on July 4.
  • Fresh Market: Hours: 8 a.m.-9 p.m.
  • MOMs My Organic Market: Stores will be closed on Easter.
  • Aldi: All stores open limited hours on July 4.
  • Costco: The stores will be closed July 4.
