Scam Alert: Suspect Selling Fake iPhone, iPads
Annapolis Police warn residents not to buy items being sold in parking lots.

Annapolis Police are warning residents not to buy items sold in parking lots after two residents reported they bought what turned out to be fake Apple iPhones and iPads.
Both victims said they were approached by the suspect, pictured, in business parking lots. The suspect reportedly offered to sell the electronics in boxes and only after the sale did the buyers discover the items are fake.
The scam suspect is described a white man who speaks Spanish, but is believed to be French. Police say he is of average build and has a receding hairline.

In both cases the suspect targeted Spanish-speaking victims.
“It is not a good idea to buy things from people who approach you in parking lots,” the police department said on Facebook.
