Searchers Find Body of Critically Missing Annapolis Woman
Annapolis Police say a search team found the body of a woman missing since New Year's Eve; she was found in water near her home.

Annapolis Police say the body of a critically missing woman last seen on New Year’s Eve was found Tuesday in water near her home.
There is no indication of foul play in the death, authorities said.
Barbara Kovacs, 72, was last seen Dec. 31 at her residence in the 7000 block of Bay Front Drive in Annapolis. Police say Kovacs’ relatives were concerned for her welfare.

Annapolis Police officers with a K-9 team were searching the area surrounding 7101 Bay Front Drive for Kovacs when they found a body in the water. The body was recovered by Annapolis and Anne Arundel County firefighters and taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for further investigation. The body was identified as Kovacs.
