Second Suspect Sought in Annapolis Teen's Shooting: Police

An Annapolis man is being sought by police for attempted murder after a 19-year-old was shot in the chest last weekend.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — Police are searching for a second attempted murder suspect in the weekend shooting of an Annapolis man who arrived at the emergency room with a gunshot wound to the chest, say Annapolis Police.

Ke’maarian Blair, 18, of Annapolis was arrested and charged in Saturday's shooting of a 19-year-old in the 1300 block of Tyler Avenue. Blair was charged with attempted first-degree murder and eight related criminal charges. He is being held at the Jennifer Road Detention Center without bond.

On Thursday, police said they are also seeking Damario Jackson, 21, of Annapolis, on charges of attempted murder and related crimes tied to the shooting.

The victim, Ceonjay Thompson, was shot in the heart and is still hospitalized at University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, the Capital-Gazette reports.

About 1:20 p.m. Saturday police were called to the 1300 block of Tyler Avenue for reports of shots fired. While officers were at the scene, personnel at Anne Arundel Medical Center reported that Thompson arrived at the emergency room.

A K-9 search of the shooting scene led police to recover five handguns; one of the guns found was reported stolen in Calvert County.
