Thanks to the generosity of donors, the Annapolis Senior Activity Center’s flea market had so many items to sell that the event continued long after it was officially over.
As seniors attended classes, workshops and musical performances at the center, as they worked out in the fitness room, played cards and other games, and just socialized and volunteered, they also looked over the half-priced remnants of the flea market and bought, bought, bought.
The end of the year figures were good for the center. Two flea markets were held last year. Together, they raised more than $2,150. A jewelry sale raised more than $1,700 while bake sales added more than $265 to the fundraising. These funds will be used to benefit the Annapolis Senior Activity Center. Items that were not sold were donated to another charity.
