About 50 Annapolis Senior Activity Center members attended a Mother’s Day Tea on May 22 at the center. Most wore hats and their Sunday best.

They drank a variety of teas and nibbled on cucumber and chicken salad sandwiches and an assortment of desserts, including chocolate covered strawberries and miniature brownies, Danishes and scones.

They clapped and sang along to the music of the Bates Jazz Ensemble and their special guests, Joe Davolio, who usually performs with the South County Show Stoppers and is known as "the Singing Grandpa,” and Henry Smith, who sings and plays the harmonica. They played such center favorites as “Let the Good Times Roll,” “Mustang Sally,” “Under the Boardwalk,” and “Kansas City.”
