Severe Thunderstorm Issued For 3 Maryland Counties
BREAKING: National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Anne Arundel, Calvert and Prince George's counties.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Anne Arundel, Calvert and Prince George's counties until 3 p.m. Saturday. At 2:12 p.m., a severe thunderstorm was located over Upper Marlboro, moving east at 5 mph. The warning says that 60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail is associated with the storm.
Damaging winds will cause some trees and large branches to fall. This could injure those outdoors, as well as damage homes and vehicles. Roads may become blocked by downed trees. Localized power outages are possible, the weather service says. Unsecured light objects may become projectiles.
Locations in the warning area include: Clinton, Forestville, Largo, Upper Marlboro, Andrews Air Force Base, Camp Springs, Kettering, Walker Mill, Rosaryville, Marlton, Dunkirk, Brandywine, District Heights, Baden, Morningside and Cheltenham.

Residents in those areas are urged to get indoors to protect yourself from wind and lightning. Trees around you may be downed from damaging winds, so if you are near large trees, move to an interior room on the lowest floor. Don't drive underneath trees or in wooded areas until the threat has passed.

Sunday: A chance of showers before 11am, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms between 11am and 5pm, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 5pm. Patchy fog before 11am. Otherwise, cloudy, with a high near 75. East wind 5 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Sunday Night: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Low around 61. East wind 6 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Monday: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 72. East wind 8 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%.
