Severe Thunderstorm Warning Issued For Anne Arundel County

A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for Anne Arundel County, Howard County, Montgomery County and Prince Georges County July 22.

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — The National Weather service in Sterling, Va., has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Anne Arundel County, southeastern Howard County, east-central Montgomery County and northeastern Prince Georges County until 4:15 p.m.

At 3:19 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Hillandale,or over Langley Park, moving east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...60 to 65 mph wind gusts.

IMPACT...Damaging winds will cause some trees and large branches to fall. This could injure those outdoors, as well as damage homes and vehicles. Roadways may become blocked by downed trees. Localized power outages are possible. Unsecured light objects may become projectiles.

Bowie, Severn, Annapolis, College Park, Crofton, Greenbelt, Langley Park, Beltsville, Elkridge, Riviera Beach, Mayo, Naval Academy, Baltimore-Washington Airport, Severn River, Fort Smallwood State Park, University of Maryland, Gibson Island, Bodkin Point, Sillery Bay and Pinehurst.
