SEVERN, MD — Anne Arundel County police officers responded to a home in the 1100 block of Carinoso Circle in Severn Aug. 8 for a report of animal abuse. Officers discovered that Robert Henry Reynolds Jr. had abused his six-month-old Doberman Pinscher.

Detectives accessed a video that "clearly showed the suspect repeatedly strike and throw the Doberman Pinscher down the stairs," the police report stated. The puppy, named Bucko, was confiscated by Anne Arundel County Animal Care and Control and transported to an emergency veterinary clinic where he is in good condition, but had to be monitored due to his injuries.

Animal Care and Control also removed a cat from the Carinoso Circle address along with two other dogs from a Hanover address associated with Reynolds Jr. He has since been charged with animal cruelty and mutilating an animal.
