ANNAPOLIS, MD — City police said they arrested a sex offense suspect Sunday after a barricade in Annapolis.
Officers identified the accused man as 35-year-old Steven Brown of Annapolis.
Authorities said Brown barricaded himself in his home in the 200 block of Garden Gate Lane.

Police said they could see Brown in the window, but they started following barricade protocols after he refused to answer the door.
The City of Annapolis used the alert sense emergency notification system to notify the surrounding neighborhood of the situation.

The Crisis Negotiation Team responded and made contact with the suspect, officers said.
Authorities said Brown agreed to peacefully surrender around 3:32 p.m. within two hours of the barricade starting.
The Annapolis Police Department said it took Brown into custody without further incident and served him his arrest warrant.
