Sexual Solicitation Of Minor Charged To Annapolis Man: Police
Police said an Annapolis man tried to have a sexual meet-up with a minor. Undercover officers arrested the suspect.
ANNAPOLIS, MD — Police said they arrested an Annapolis man on March 10, charging him with one count of soliciting sex from a minor. Officers identified the suspect as 78-year-old Richard Lenham.
An incident report noted that a trooper from the Maryland State Police Computer Crimes Unit posed as a 14-year-old boy on an online dating application. Lenham started a conversation with the undercover officer, the write-up informed, hoping to schedule a sexual meet-up.
The report added that Lenham suggested meeting in Annapolis on March 10, and the undercover officer agreed. The Maryland State Police and the FBI's Maryland Child Exploitation Task Force arrested the suspect when he arrived around 1:25 p.m., troopers concluded.
