Two Injured in Shootings; Suspect in Custody (Update)
The first call for shots Friday was near the Bywater Boys and Girls Club. Two victims were hospitalized in separate incidents.

Two shootings were reported Friday afternoon in Annapolis, the first in the parking lot of the Bywater Boys and Girls Club that left a man with a gunshot wound to the face.
Annapolis Police were called about 2:30 p.m. to the 1800 block of Copeland Street for a report of shots fired. The Capital-Gazette reports a man chased another man while firing a gun, which ended with the victim’s collapse at the youth club, which was closed.

When officers arrived they located Traymont Wiley of the 1800 block of Copeland Street with a gunshot wound to the face. Wiley was flown to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma by Maryland State Police helicopter.
About 20 minutes later, police received numerous calls for shots fired in the 1300 block of Tyler Avenue. Additional calls provided a description of the suspect and that he was running in the Robinwood community.

A police sergeant and an Annapolis Fire Department Fire Marshall encountered the suspect and ordered him to the ground. The suspect complied and was taken into custody.
The second victim was taken to Anne Arundel Medical Center by a family member. The victim is identified as Corey Holland of the 1300 block of Tyler Avenue. Holland suffered a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
A suspect is in custody and criminal charges are pending, police said. The man is reportedly believed to have fired the shots in both cases.

The Capital Gazette reports the call for shots fired on Copeland Street came in around 2:30 p.m. Police were on scene Friday where bloody clothes were reportedly on the ground.
