Shots Fired At Annapolis Gas Station After Confrontation: Police

A suspect fired two gunshots at a fellow gas station customer in Annapolis, police said. This followed a confrontation between the males.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — A suspect fired two shots at a fellow gas station customer recently in Annapolis, county police announced. Officers said the gunshots missed the man, who was not hurt.

Authorities said the encounter happened Saturday around 1:40 p.m. at a gas station in the 2000 block of West Street.

The victim was riding in the front passenger seat. He went into the gas station to pay while the female driver waited in the vehicle, police said.

Officers alleged that three males started pestering the driver, making obscene gestures and staring at her.

Authorities said the victim confronted the three males when he returned, prompting the shots fired at him.

The three males got back into their white van and fled, police said.

Officers said the victim went to the Annapolis Police Station to report the shooting.

Authorities described the suspect as a Hispanic male between 17 and 20 years old who has a thin build. Police said he wore a dark baseball hat, a white T-shirt, dark pants and white athletic shoes.

Officers said he was armed with a black handgun.

Authorities are still investigating.
