Skateboarder Suffers Critical Head Injury in Cape Saint Claire

Emergency officials say the teenager was flown by helicopter to Shock Trauma after a skateboard accident.

A teenager who took a spill on a skateboard may have suffered a life-threatening head injury, according to the Anne Arundel County Fire Department.

The teen was critically injured Saturday afternoon after falling from a skateboard in Cape Saint Claire. Firefighters and paramedics were dispatched to the area of Hampton Road and Crestview Drive.

A 16-year-old boy with a possible head injury was taken to Shock Trauma by United States Park Police helicopter with critical, possibly life-threatening, injuries.
