Skeletal Human Remains Found At Annapolis Park: Police
Skeletal human remains were found in Quiet Waters Park Monday after Anne Arundel County Police received a tip.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — A tipster led Anne Arundel County Police to the discovery of skeletal human remains Monday morning in an Annapolis area park. Authorities said Tuesday that the medical examiner believes the body was a young adult male, and signs of trauma to the remains means the death was a homicide. A police spokesman said there is no reason to believe there is any imminent threat to the community.
The tip to police came in about 11 a.m. Monday; officers found the remains in a wooded area of Quiet Waters Park in the 600 block of Quiet Waters Park Road in Annapolis. The skeletal remains were recovered and taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore, which ruled the victim was a young man who was killed.
Investigators are working with the medical examiner and neighboring jurisdictions to identify the victim. Police said they don't yet know how long the remains had been in the park, but the condition of the remains suggest the person’s death was not recent.
