Hi neighbors,
I am an Annapolis resident with a concern about the limited support options for those individuals and families dealing with issues of mental health. As a community, we have many fund raisers for physical health problems but significantly less for those with depression, anxiety, addiction, bipolar and other more stigmatized heath issues.
I am sponsoring the Sounds of Hope benefit concert on May 4th featuring StoweGood, a Nashville duo. 100% of ticket sales concert benefit NAMI AAC—National Alliance on Mental Illness Anne Arundel County Chapter. This worthy 501 (c)(3) organization runs 5 local, free programs that positively impact the lives of individuals living with mental illness, their families and friends. NAMI also works to reduce stigma, provide support, education and advocacy.
