Street Closures to Allow Work on Former Stevens Hardware Site

Work on the building -- closed since 2012 -- will begin on Monday, city leaders said.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — Materials necessary to begin the exterior shoring on the old Stevens Hardware building downtown will begin Monday, Jan. 11, Annapolis officials said.

On Monday and Tuesday, the outbound lane of Randall Street, closest to the building, will be closed between 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. The inbound lane will remain open at all times and traffic will be maintained in both directions in that single lane.

City officials expect the first full road closure of Randall Street will be on Wednesday, Jan. 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. to erect the shoring on the Randall Street side of the building between Prince George Street and Dock Street.
