String Of Catalytic Converter Thefts Under Investigation In Annapolis

ANNAPOLIS, MD — Police are investigating a series of recent catalytic converter thefts targeting cars in Annapolis.
According to Annapolis police, the thefts were all reported on Wednesday in multiple areas of the city. In all, six catalytic converters were stolen.

11:55 a.m., 900 block of Primrose Road
The victim told police that two of his vehicles had their catalytic converters stolen at approximately 3:14 a.m. Wednesday.
12:24 p.m., 1400 block of Poplar Avenue
According to police, the victim said the catalytic converter was stolen from his 2012 Toyota Prius. The part was taken from his residence between 11 p.m. Tuesday and 12:24 p.m. Wednesday.

2:54 p.m., 100 block of Roselawn Road
According to police, the victim parked her 2004 Honda Element in front of a residence on March 28 at 4 p.m. On Wednesday at 5 a.m., she started her vehicle and discovered her catalytic converter was missing.
5:43 p.m., 900 block of Primrose Road
Police said a catalytic converter was taken from their 2012 Toyota Prius between 7:45 p.m. Tuesday and 7:45 a.m. Wednesday.
6:13 p.m., 1300 block of Poplar Avenue
Officers were called to the lobby of the Annapolis Police Department for a report of a theft. The victim told officers she had her catalytic converter stolen from her gray 2010 Toyota Prius. The victim parked her car on Tuesday at approximately 6:45 p.m. The victim returned to her vehicle at approximately noon on Wednesday, when she found her vehicle damaged.
