Stuff-The-Bus Drive Collects School Supplies At Annapolis Mall
The Annapolis mall is hosting a stuff-the-bus drive to gather donations of school supplies. The effort helps Anne Arundel County students.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — Westfield Annapolis is hosting a stuff-the-bus drive to collect supplies for students in Anne Arundel County Public Schools. The campaign started Sunday, and it ends Aug. 20.
“We are thrilled to partner with 21st Century Education Foundation to benefit our local schools for Stuff the Bus this year to support students in our local community,” stated Morgan McLoud, marketing manager of Westfield Annapolis. “School supplies are always needed, and it’s even more critical now as every child needs personal supplies to safely return to in-person learning.”
The Annapolis mall will host a celebratory event Thursday to engage kids. Captain Marvel and Captain America will greet children visiting the bus, located in the Crate & Barrel Court.

The event has two timeslots. Both feature a 25-minute educational song set from The Rainbow Rock Band. Each window also includes programming from Discoveries: The Library At The Mall, which is a branch of the Anne Arundel County Public Library.
The first timeframe, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., will have a "Be a Back to School Hero" storytime. The second option, from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., touts a crafts session.

All donors will have the chance to win a $250 Westfield gift card. Guests can donate money here or drop off any of these most-needed items:

“So many of our families have been impacted by the pandemic and the response from our business and community partners has been amazing;” added Carol Ann McCurdy, executive director of the 21st Century Education Foundation. “We are grateful for the support from Westfield and generosity from our community to positively impact a student’s life, an entire classroom and our future workforce.”
