Uber Driver Vanishes; 2 Suspects Arrested In Annapolis

A missing Uber driver's vehicle was found in Annapolis Monday; the driver, from Charlotte, NC, is believed to be in "grave danger."

ANNAPOLIS, MD — An SUV owned by an Uber driver reported missing from Charlotte, North Carolina, was found in Annapolis Monday, but there has so far been no sign of the driver, who is believed to be in "grave danger." Authorities in North Carolina have charged two men in the disappearance of the Uber driver who went missing Saturday night after his credit card was used and his vehicle found in Annapolis.

Marlo Johnis Medina-Chevez, 44, left his home in Charlotte, North Carolina, Saturday night, May 20, around 9:45 p.m. to pick up a client, but never returned, his wife told police Sunday morning. “Mr. Medina-Chevez’s friends and family have not heard from or seen him and they are extremely concerned,” a Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department statement said Sunday evening.

Medina-Chevez was driving a 2008 dark blue Nissan Pathfinder with North Carolina tag PDV-4382. He is described as a Hispanic male with black hair and black eyes. He was last seen wearing a grey short sleeve shirt, jeans and sandals.
