Thanks for everyone’s generosity during fall fundraisers

Annapolis Senior Activity Center's fall fundraisers -- jewelry sale, flea market, holiday donation program, bake sales -- were successful.

Thank you. Thanks go to the staff members, volunteers, donors, shoppers, media and everyone else who helped make the Annapolis Senior Activity Center’s fall fundraisers successful.

The total raised this fall was more than $7,775. The breakdown per fundraising event is more than $130 for the bake sales, nearly $1,845 for the jewelry sale, more than $2,240 for the flea market, and more than $3,550 for the holiday donation program.

Proceeds from these fundraisers will be used to benefit the Annapolis Senior Activity Center. Volunteers from Annapolis Seniors, Inc., (ASI) the fundraising group for the center, organized the events. In the past, ASI has helped purchase exercise equipment and furniture and has supplemented the cost of various events.

Special thanks go to Shirley Norlem who organized the flea market, Mary Anne Kelly and Joyce E. Davis who organized the jewelry sale, and Iris Littig who organized the holiday donation program and Amaryllis Harper who helped promote it.

Earlier in the year more than $2,000 was raised for the center during a quarter auction organized by Delores Hawkins.
