There's No Homework This Week In Prince George's: Here's Why

Prince George's County students won't have any homework this week. Here's why they will have a bit more free time.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — Every kid's dream came true: There's no homework this week. Monica Goldson, CEO of Prince George's County Public Schools, announced the decision last month.

"During this week, I encourage students to engage in school-based clubs and organizations or other hobbies at the end of the school day," Goldson said, calling it a holiday gift. "We look forward to everyone returning to school fully recharged and able to focus on learning."

Homework makes its return on Jan. 12.

"I know distance learning has been an adjustment this school year," Goldson added. "I am so proud of the work you have done to adapt and excel during our new normal. "
