Tilted Kilt Closes Doors In Annapolis After Losing Lawsuit: Report
The Tilted Kilt Pub has closed in Annapolis after losing a lawsuit about its rent, according to reports.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — The Tilted Kilt Pub has closed its location in Annapolis after losing a lawsuit filed by Westfield Annapolis Mall over unpaid rent, according to a report. A contractor also sued the pub — which was known for its scantily clad female servers like Hooters or Twin Peaks with a Gaelic flair — for outstanding bills, reports The Capital-Gazette.
The mall's owner sued the restaurant for $36,000 in back rent owned, court records show. Following a District Court ruling Tuesday in favor of the landlord, the restaurant closed a day later, the newspaper says. It was open about a year in a space near Bow Tie Cinemas.
Bay Area Mechanical Services of Pasadena filed a $34,000 mechanic's lien against the restaurant, and a judge set a trial date for that dispute.
