Towne Centre to Welcome New Shops

The new building in the Annapolis Towne Centre at Parole is nearing completion and will welcome a number of new restaurants and other businesses.

The finishing touches are being put on ’s latest addition, a nearly 21,000-square-foot building along Riva Road. The new businesses and restaurants will open alongside , and , but they will be the 2 million-square-foot Parole development’s first fast-casual restaurants.

And developer Greenberg Gibbons has confirmed its new tenants, including several new restaurants. The new businesses are slated to open in May, according to a release.

“Annapolis Towne Centre’s newest building will bring some of the nation’s top names in fast-casual dining and financial services to the area,” Brian Gibbons, chairman and CEO of Greenberg Gibbons, said in a release. “We are excited to expand our selection of first-rate retail and dining options with these new additions.”

The new restaurants that have been announced are:

  • Jimmy Johns Gourmet Sandwich Shop—The nearly 2,000-square-foot sandwich shop will be the first of its franchise in the county and feature fresh-baked bread. According to the company’s website, Jimmy Johns has more than 1,000 locations. The Champaign, IL-based company’s website says, “Bread is baked in-house everyday and served fresh. Meat and veggies are sliced fresh in-house every day. The turkey is real turkey, the roast beef is real roast beef – no additives, no vegetable-based fillers, no fake stuff.”
  • Qdoba Mexican Grill—Greater Annapolis’ latest burrito shop will occupy more than 2,800 square feet in the new building, according to a release. The restaurant chain continues to expand and has more than 500 locations across the country, according to its website. It was started in 1995 in Denver.
  • Saladworks—The restaurant has signed on for more than 2,000-square-feet to serve its fresh-tossed, made-to-order salads, according to a release. According to its website, the restaurant offers more than 50 ingredients, alongside soups and sandwiches.
  • Zoë’s Kitchen—The Mediterranean restaurant will occupy more than 2,600 square feet. The Alabama-based fast casual restaurant is known for its kabobs, rollups, hummus and veggie pita pizza, according to a release.

  • Scottrade—The company is slated to move into an 1,800-square-foot space, according to a release. It is an online investment firm offering a full line of investment products, online trading and market research tools, according to the release. The Parole branch provide in-person customer support and allow customers to open an account and receive other services.
  • Fidelity—The mutual fund and financial services firm will be the largest of the new tenants with about 5,000 square feet of space. The new location will provide its full range of investment services, according to the release.
